Independence Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at all PARCO locations nationwide to reaffirm the Company and PARCONIANS’ commitment for the country.
A ceremony was held at the Corporate Headquarters which commenced with recitation from the Holy Quran. Mr Tariq Rizavi, Managing Director, PARCO hoisted the national flag. Students from Government Primary School, Ibrahim Hyderi, sang the national anthem along with PARCO employees to celebrate the 70th Independence Day. Special gift hampers were distributed amongst the children at the end of the ceremony.
After flag hoisting, MD PARCO planted a tree and prayed for the prosperity and progress of Pakistan and PARCO. A similar ceremony was also held at the Mid Country Refinery, where Mr Syed Ali Abid Naqvi, General Manager Refinery, hoisted the national flag. Similar flag hoisting ceremonies were held at all Stations and Terminals where all employees and other staff member took part enthusiastically. As per PARCO’s tradition, sweets were distributed at all locations.
