For the last five years, PARCO has been sponsoring the prestigious Roshan Khan Open Squash Championship to promote sports in the country on a national level. This year again it sponsored the PARCO Seventh Roshan Khan Open Squash Championship 2017.
A thrilling final match was played between Israr Ahmed and Ali Bukhari at the Roshan Khan Jahangir Khan Squash Complex on July 22, 2017. Fourth seed Israr Ahmed took just 20 minutes to register 11-4, 11-9, 11-1 victory against his opponent. In the prize distribution ceremony that followed the final, the Chief Guest Mr. Tariq Rizavi, Managing Director PARCO, presented the Winner’s trophy to Israr Ahmed and mementoes to other participants of the championship.
Speaking on the occasion, MD PARCO reiterated his support in promoting sports and healthy youth activities in Pakistan. He said that he was delighted to see that the event which was launched seven years back has blossomed and is playing a major role in finding new talent and restoring Pakistan’s lost position in Squash. He assured to continue his long association with the event in future also.
