Sports

PARCO has a decade long history of promoting sports. Sports’ events like Cricket, Volley Ball, Swimming, Water Polo, Badminton, Table-Tennis and other tournaments; Sports Gala, etc are organized in order to keep employees physically fit and active. At the Mid-Country Refinery, PARCO provides international level facilities for Sports like Cricket (Flood Lit Stadium), Hockey, Football, Volleyball, Swimming, Tennis, etc. An elaborate gym and indoor sports are also provided in a Club Complex e.g. Bowling Alley, Badminton, Table Tennis, Snooker, Squash, and other games.

Cricket

PARCO organizes regular inter-station cricket tournaments which are held at the Mid-Country Refinery and various Stations and Terminals. Employees posted at Corporate Headquarters, different stations including the Mid-Country Refinery participate with full enthusiasm and are also involved in the management of these tournaments.

In addition to the in-house tournaments, PARCO took the initiative by bringing the petroleum fraternity together for a healthy sport activity, and organizes the PARCO Cricket Tournament each year since February 2010, where local and multinational petroleum companies actively participate, including PARCO. The tournament is a huge success and is appreciated by whole industry. Till 2015, five tournaments have been played of which PARCO has won four tournaments.

PARCO’s Cricket Team is very active and has participates in various tournaments throughout the year scoring great numbers.

Squash

PARCO has been the main Sponsor of the prestigious 3rd, 4th and 5th Roshan Khan Junior Open Squash Championship since 2011.

A record number of above 200 players, both boys and girls in seven age groups, from all parts of the country participate in this nationwide Junior Open Squash Championship which was played at the Pakistan Navy Squash Complex, Fleet Club.

The 2014 Tournament prize money was US$ 10,000. The event was recognized by the Asian Squash Federation. It was for the first time that International players from Canada, India and Iran participated in this junior event.
